This is a classic example of when you must break the ROT. To my eyes there is simply no better place to frame the head. A bit wider aperture to get a tad little more blur in the foreground and the background might get more depth. But it's lovely as is. As to the theme...see my comments about eye-camera contact in other entries.

I agree it doesn't have that uncomfortable lonely feeling, but it is alone and it's a photo that captures you. It's one of my favorites and I love the title

This shot has one my favorite structures, with the foreground extremely close to the camera providing a very good sense of depth. The green tones and the mossy rockes are really good, and work very well with the sheep face. I don't get a strong sense of alone, but I still like this photo.
