It's hard to compete against the shimmering blue of the peacock's feathers in terms of colour, and the yellow flowers in the forground provide an excellent contrast. Although you were probably interested in the whole scene when you took the photo opening up the aperture to f/2.8 and focussing on the peacock would have helped keep it the centre of attention. I would have straightened this image probably using the stone steps as a guide.
