Hi Michael, I like it too and I'm going to try to analyze why-hope I'm successful. It's all light and detail and muted color. It's visually very captivating with great highlights and a beautiful pearly/silky look to the sails. The ship itself and the rocklike pedestal are sharp, hard and glinting, while the sails look silky soft with their luster and brighter highlights. Very well done and I would imagine not easily.

I like this image, but I'm not sure I can analyse why. Maybe it's just a good picture of an object I would like to see in real life. Nigel
