One of my projects is to capture a shot of this solo tree in a field with evening light on it. I have never been able to catch the correct light and now I may never. I say that because they are now ripping the field up with earth movers and making a housing development. It was time to say a quick Serenity Prayer and keep driving.
It’s a good thing I did because I got some nice shots from a large group of Yellow Breasted Blackbirds, three coyotes, a red-tail hawk and this pheasant. This guy sauntered across the road and then ran down the bar ditch right beside me, begging me to take his picture. Not the best shot due to the road but they sure are a pretty bird. The only thing I’ve done is crop and resize.
