Jeff and I drove up to Rocky Mountain National Park this morning. We have had snow falling since yesterday and the cold temperatures are creating a nice powder. Just as we entered the park we saw about four nice bull elk in this meadow with nary a cow in sight. We encountered the cows in a meadow just up the road. So the guys must have decided to have guys morning grazing. They would looked up as soon as we took any step because every step we took had this squeaky sound from the powdery snow. It was good day out for shooting because of the fresh snow and very little wind.
