I left Vernal, Utah and headed north on Hwy 191 towards Rock Springs, Wyoming. However I ran into some heavy winds and rain. Met a wet and cold couple riding a Harley Davidson who had just come from there and was told it was pouring rain. So, I made the decision to head back to Vernal and see about another route. I stayed one more night in Veranl due to the rain and snow north and west of me.

This image was taken before entering into the Uinta Mountains. I thought it was interesting to see these trees clumped together against the incoming stormy clouds. Most of their lives is spent fighting against the wind.
