Whoops, don't touch! This beautiful plant is known as Poison Ivy and is plentiful in this part of the country. I took this image today in Blendon Woods Park while on a much needed walk. Poison ivy usually grows as a vine twining on tree trunks or straggling over the ground. But the plant often forms upright bushes if it has no support to climb upon. The tissues of all these plants contain a poisonous oil somewhat like carbolic acid. This oil is extremely irritating to the skin. So, don't touch!
We had a beautiful day, sun shined brightly but only reaching about 60 degrees. Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend!
