Mary Kanters and spouse Uldis Celmins. Mary received a double-lung transplant in July, 2001. They are both a donor and a recipient family, having donated their daughter's organs several years ago. The evening was especially meaningful because the girl who received their daughter's heart was at the memorial service also.
