On April 20, 2002 my life was saved by a single-lung transplant. I was dying from end-stage respiratory failure caused by pulmonary fibrosis and experienced the miracle of being given the "Gift of8ki8 Life" by my donor family who made the courageous decision to donate their loved one's lung to me. I will be forever grateful and thankful to my donor, donor family, Dr. Shaf Keshavjee, Dr. Lianne Singer and the lung transplanto team at Toronto General Hospital, the entire hospital staff and my friends and relatives that supported and prayed for me during my ordeal.

Since my transplant I have become an advocate for organ donation awareness and transplant research funding. These galleries reflect my activities in these areas as well the life I am now able to enjoy with my friends and relatives.
