Dale Shippam, heart transplant survivor of 10 years, poses with the poster he was featured in to promote organ donation awareness. Dale is a full-time fire fighter in Thunder Bay, Ontario. Dale is also famous for traveling to Antarctica in December, 2006 along with a group that included his cardiologist. He climbed to within 200 meters of the summit of Mount Vinson Massif but had to quit due to low oxygen levels in some of the climbers.
