Here's an email I received from a happy and excited Chris: (I was also pretty excited to learn that I was a great-grandfather for the 2nd time. Wow!)
"Baby Ava (yes, I know, they change the name) was born today at 2:22, weighing 8 lbs 3 oz and 21 inches long. Brandi was induced this morning at 9 but nothing was happening so we all went to Denny's for lunch. Wouldn't you know it, her water broke at Denny's at 1:00 and contractions started right away. They just made it to the hospital and after only 12 minutes of hard labour, Ava was born." Mom and baby are doing well and hope to go home tomorrow. I couldn't believe how alert Ava was, looking around and taking in this big new world. What a blessing to our family! Christine"
