The next 5 shots were taken in a sequence at 5 frames per second so all five shots were taken in one second. It is of a bunny flip which is a very effective way of causing the hawk to loose its grip allowing the bunny to escape. A bunny flip can also be dangerous to a hawk that only has the bunny with one foot. It was a maneuver like this that broke the leg of my Harris Hawk in his 1st year. This happened so fast that I didn’t even know it happened until I looked at the photos.
