After cleaning, stock cleaned in varsol bath and sanded
The gun cleaned up nice. The stock looked to have about 60 years of cosmoline on it. So it was removed and bathed in Varsol. Then allowed to dry followed by a quick sanding. Almost there.
A beauty!!! Well done on the restoration. You've done a grand job. I used to strip and assemble this, blindfolded. This was also my section weapon when in the forces. Thanks for the photos.
