THE NATIONAL LEAGUE OF AMERICAN PEN WOMEN
SANTA CLARA COUNTY BRANCH

To raise money for the scholarship fund for highschool girls, the PEN Women Santa Clara chapter had a garage sale at Mary Lou Taylor's house today (as part of the city-wide garage sale at Saratoga). Quite a few of our local chapter members came before 7am to set-up and the first customers arrived before 8am! It was a successful day and our scholarship fund will have a nice additioon of money.

Glad it was a success. We can always use the money.

Great event thanks to a lot of work by Susan Zerweck. The set up crew
was a big help, Susan said, and we had a steady stream of shoppers until
2 p.m. when I left. This was a good idea. Barbara Chamberlain
