Mother Polar Bear with 2 10-month old cubs

I observed this mother for quite some time in her natural
environment in Northern Canada at the Hudson Bay
where I lived on the Tundra for 5 days. At one time
the mother felt threatened by another bear and she charged
right at him - lurching towards us and coming to a full stop
as she recognized the other bear turning away.
She then returned to her cubs and all 3 settled
very close to each other for warmth.

Do you have any more of your Polar Bear photos up? I've loved both of the ones in your PAD Gallery and want to see more. Beautiful capture of this mom.

Wonderful and endearing. Seems like you could definitely sell this image to World Wildlife Fund for their campaigns. That must have been awesome witnessing these magnificent creatures close up!
