The Smith and Wesson .38 Special in this picture was my grandfather's sidearm as Sheriff and US Marshall in the foothills of Appalachia in the North Georgia Mountains. He served from the twenties through the forties. The patent date on the gun is 1919. The silver dollars and phone were gifts from my grandmother. I love nostalgia and feel a real sense of connection with the past. I will likely do many nostalgic themes in my PoD files.
