GIVI windshield
The Givi windshield is taller and wider. It has good protection for my upper body but the wind hits me at my helmet and made it very noisy. The noise made a long ride every tiring and uncomfortable.

MRA windshield with adjustable spoiler
Then I tried a German made MRA windshield with adjustable spoiler. It still didn't do the job. With the spoiler all the way down, the wind hit me at the neck level. With it all the way up, the wind hit me at about the eye level. Again, making the helmet very noisy and long ride every uncomfortable...
Hybrid - MRA spoiler mounted on GIVI
Then I mounted the MRA spoiler on GIVI. There was no change in noise as the gap between the spoiler and the Givi was too great that the wind still hit me at my helmet level...

Hybrid - Givi on MRA
Then I cut off the top half of the GIVI windshield and mounted it on the MRA and used it as a taller spoiler. No luck. The wind now hit me at my forehead level and my helmet was still quite noisy. Beside, at speed about 70-75 mph, the bigger spoiler now made the MRA windshield moving and shaking at an uncomfortable level.

Cut Off GIVI windshield
So I put the GIVI windshield back, with the top cut off. Now while I got more wind on my upper body, but the noise at my helmet was greatly reduced, because the wind didn't concentrate on hitting my helmet. We'll see how it goes. The quest continues...
Updated 2/7/2010: After a 50-mile test on the freeway at speed up to 75 mph with the cut-off windshield, it was much much worse. The wind was hitting me from my chest up and it was very uncomfortable so as soon as I got home, I put back the MRA windshield w/spoiler. At least it was tested at speed up to 155 mph by myself. So I wasted a perfect Givi windshield.
