Mile#659 - Engine Oil / filter change
Changed the engine oil with Yamalube 20W50 motorcycle oil. The filter was a Yamaha OEM 5GH-13440-50, same as the one that came from factory originally.

Change the gear oil
With Yamaha Shaft Oil Exclusive (for FJR), part # ACC-SHFTD-EX-00 at $22/quart. It's VERY EXPENSIVE by any standard. For comparison, a quart of Mobil-1 full synthetic gear oil is $9. However, it takes only 8 oz of gear oil per change, so a quart will last 4 gear oil changes.

Yes, I know I don't have to get Yamaha coolant but I got it anyway, just during the warranty period.

Yamaha Extended Service warranty
Yamaha is nice enough to send me an extra 2-year of warranty service (Y.E.S, Yamaha Extended Services) for free, because I attended their Yamaha factory demo ride back in July. So, I emailed the card to Del Amo Motosport at Long Beach and the manager added to their computer and now I have a total of 3 years Yamaha warranty, instead of 1 year. Del Amo @ Long Beach truly has excellent customer service.
