Joggers, hikers, cyclists, skaters and dogs pass
some delightful views, both far and near. Fierce winds here make it dicey to get anything that isn't in motion;
basalt and cacti are GOOD bets! The rocks here curve and tumble, sometimes standing tall in blocky columns, and nearby,
flowing in undulating waves. Lots of variety in a small area, and it's possible to wander well away from the trail for uninterrupted hours.
However: A freeway connector was built across this lovely and intimate natural masterpiece. Good that I caught
these views before they began deconstructing the lovely landscape that was!
