Could this be Geum rossii var. turbinatum, Alpine Avens?

Salazar Trail, Cordova Pass, San Isabel NF, Huerfano Co., CO

Can anyone help me learn what these are? Southern Colorado, 12,000 feet up, nestled in a rock corner.
None of the images I've found show this creamy color; they're all uniformly bright yellow, and accompanying text
mentions they can be mistaken for buttercups. These couldn't.
