Ryoan-ji Temple, the Temple of the Peaceful Dragon, is a Zen temple built around 1500.
The garden consists of raked gravel and 15 moss-covered boulders where only 14 of the
boulders are visible from the ground at one time. It is said that only through
enlightenment would one be able to view the fifteenth boulder.
