We drive south-east from Santa Barbara for a quick stop
at Anza Borrego Desert State Park and then on to our
hotel in Julian. We make a daybreak arrival at the park
the following day for the morning light and return to
Julian that afternoon.

Our return to Santa Barbara starts along the west coast
of the Salton Sea followed by a brief visit to Joshua
Tree National Park.
