We enter Fortuna Bay but must cancel all Zodiac activities
due to strong föhn winds blowing at 45 to 55 knots. These
winds made it impossible to stand still outside on deck.

Föhn winds originate on the windward side of mountains
where they drop their moisture and then rush down the
leeward side of the mountain. They can be very localized
and may start and stop at any time.
