We arrive at the La Paz airport after a short flight from LA.
La Paz is on the US State Department security watch list
so we immediately get to our bus to travel to the west coast
and our awaiting ship, the National Geographic Sea Lion.
Much of the Baja California peninsula we visit is desert and
its population is primarily located along its coastal regions.
The peninsula was severely hit by hurricane Odile in
September 2014 and several stretches of the road we
took to the west coast are still undergoing repair.
