Devon Island is a good example of Arctic tundra and as you can
see, there is a light snow falling. Remember that this is August.

Notice our staff photographer Ralph Lee Hopkins on the left with
a 30-06 rifle. All staff on land carry a flare gun, radio, and
a rifle to protect us in case of a polar bear encounter.
