One first landing in Greenland is the Hvalsey Ruins. This farmstead was
established in the 10th century by relatives of the Norseman, Eric the Red.

A light rain fell in the morning but cleared later in the day. A small herd
of sheep can be seen grazing beyond the fence at the top of the picture.
