Sea ice is frozen seawater of which there are two types that might
affect us. New Ice is ice formed this year and a ship such as ours can
easily navigate. Multi-Year Ice results from years of ice compacted
into a very dense mass and is more difficult to navigate.

This is New Ice and is further classified as Pack Ice or ice that
is free to flow with the currents and the winds.
