Approaching the small fishing village of Djúpivogur on the southeastern side of
Iceland, we see a rugged coastline with snow capped mountains. Even though
we're traveling farther north, the weather is mild with temperatures in the
high 50's thanks to the warming effects of the Gulf Stream. For an area of
the world known for its wet weather, we are experiencing very little rain.
