As we leave Svalbard for the more temperate Norwegian mainland, we are still
far north of the Arctic Circle. The middle of the night is dark for the first
time, there is shelter from ocean winds, and the Gulf Stream warms us
(relatively speaking).

The route now involves sailing south to visit several fishing communities
along the Norwegian coast, exploring the coastal land around various
fjords, and eventually reaching our final destination, Bergen.
