Gumbo Limbo trees on the boardwalk. The Gumbo Limbo is one of my favorite FL trees. I have fond memories of climbing them as a kid. The Gumbo Limbo is the tree with the orangish-brownish bark that looks oily and papery. It's a very large tree with hearty branches and can grow 50' to 60' tall.
