Green-Winged Ducks

Wetlands

This is the first time I've seen green-winged ducks at WW. I noticed them because of their beautiful green stripe and I knew they weren't mallords. I watched them for awhile and was amused by their "dabbling". For those that do not know, dabbling ducks are ducks that feed by submerging most of their body, leaving their tail sticking straight up in the air (as you can see in the picture). Pictured are males.
