August 12, 2012. I recieved an email today from John Benson saying that the guy playing the banjo in this photograph was Pete Sylvia. The womans first name was Nancy, and I am told lives today in Florida.

This photograph was made at the old Hunt Club during the summer of 1962. The Hunt club was out on a pier in an old warehouse. This water front section of Newport was rebuilt before 1970, and today is one of the higher rent sections of a town where hotel rooms can rent for as much as$400.00 to $800.00 per night.
