This photo was made aboard the USS Hugh Purvis, in Feb, of 1962. We were leaving Bermuda, after a few days there. This is one of my few vintage color images to survive. I had to do a lot of photoshop work to restore it.

I do not know the guys name. We left Bermuda to go back to the easten atlantic and wait on John Glenn to make his first Project Mercury flight. The ship in the distance is the USS Brownson, DD 868.
