AN106. Forward berthing section, USS Hugh Purvis, DD 709

R.I. / Tennessee

The sailors that stood the mid watch, at night, got to sleep in for a extra hour or two. The lower bunks could be lifted to allow access to the srorage lockers below. Everything a sailor owned was stored in these small lockers. This bunk room was forward and below the galley. The deck crew slept here.
