Ahhhhhh, makes me homesick. This used to be Fort Jay, an Army Post ... and later became a Coast Guard Headquarters. Every time we visited NYC, we would stay in Guest Quarters on this island and then commute to downtown via an Army/CG ferry. That was the good life
