I know this weapon well ... also used in Vietnam. The weapon notorious because it could be so easily accidentally fired. In 1966 I was driving a jeep near Long Binh when my friend in the backseat accidentally (I think) popped two rounds just over my head and the through the canvas top. During the monsoon season, those two bullet holes pored water onto my head. I never thought about taping the holes shut until some 20 yrs later when someone suggested it. Ahhhhhhhh hindsight ....
