He does look a little bit crusty and if a dog looks like its owner then there's the explanation for no smile - but I do like the appeal you've captured in the bread.

Looks yummy! Wonder if it was his picture he didn't want taken, or his bread? Glad it all worked out. Love the golden brown of the bread and the green in the back.
