Madagascar

Welcome to my gallery of photos of Madagascar. They were taken during a visit in October 2005. Other than for the photos around Tana, all were taken during a tour run by Tropical Birding. I have split the pictures into two galleries, so that people looking for scenic pictures aren't distracted by lots of birds - and so the birders aren't distracted by all the other stuff!

Unfortunately my six month old Canon 350D died during the trip - but as that was after we had entered the rainforest where photography is difficult, it did not cost me too many photos.

I have no idea about that comment either! Strangely my Madagascar people and places regularly gets twenty times the hits of any of my other pages. I asked how people found it and someone said there was a link in a powerpoint presentation of Madagascar pictures that was being circulated by email. Mind you I had close to 10,000 hits before anyone was kind enough to answer my question! Anyway, I wonder if the comment had something to do with that.

How do you wonderful, patient and, of course, capable photographers make these beautiful pictures?! You give us, at home sitters, tons and tons of pleasure, which we then send on to our friends. Thus you get suddenly hit so often. I am not sending my e-mail address because I don't want to start a correspondence - just thank you most sincerely. EL
