Some specimens from the Australian museum collection. I was particularly interested to see the type specimen of Ninox boobook yorki (Cayley) to see if it matched some lurida like birds photographed near Paluma, but it does not. It looked just like another N.b. boobook to me, so is rightly considered a synonym.
