Neuland

Neuland, Germany

This tower was completed in 1916 but did not became active until the end of World War I. It formerly guided ships into the Hohwachter Bucht to the small port of Hohwachter. It was deactivated in 1996 and transferred to the German Navy, serving as a warning tower for vessels approaching Kiel, a major port for the Navy.
