It's interesting that the bird chooses the shadowed location instead of in the bright sun. It was probably steamy hot that day so I guess he was smart. I love the contrast between the two buildings--similar but very different. And the light is amazing!
As is almost always the case, you seem to prefer vertical frames, while I lean towards horizontal framing. (My version is posted in my trip travel article on worldisround.com athttp://www.worldisround.com/articles/336906/photo18.html ) You build your image around the contrast in light, while I built mine around the rhythms of the repeating spires and the position of the bird.
