Very effective with the names overlaying the buildings at the place where they suffered. I didn't even notice the exit sign until I read the comments as I was so taken with the long lists of internees, but now that you mention it, it holds even more meaning for the shot. This could be a book cover shot in fact!

We were all shooting together in this museum and somehow I missed this exhibit. Thanks for taking the time to honor it with this image. The exit sign, as Iris notes, is particularl ironic.

Thanks, Iris, for noticing the Exit sign - I worked a bit in Photoshop to bring that up to show more - and I am glad you saw it. It isn't a reflection - the list of names is translucent and the sign is showing through from the back.

Ironic reflection of the exit sign in this image. For the people relocated and interned in Manzanar during World War II, there was no exit.
