The Manzanar landscape can be bleak and univiting and beautiful. It is rare for me to present an image in black and white. In this case I felt as if the lack of color helped to evoke the mood of the place. If you look closely you will see the shrine in the mid-ground that is shown more closely in other images in this gallery. |
