| I decided to follow some of the "Blue Highways" as I traveled to Taft. I took an exit off Interstate 5 that eventually ended at the closed New Idrea Mine, a mercury mine whose tailings are polluting the creek in the foreground of this picture. In spite of this nature is giving its Springtime show. |
