Grave

I believe that is a spider's shed skin hanging in the wrought iron surrounding a grave in the Pioneer Cemetery. How apt that man's creation for a tomb provides a resting place for the remnants of a spider.

I like how the shape and colors of the spider's body echo that of the curves of the rusted iron. The lines of the diaphanous strands of left-behind webs help make this even more visually interesting.

An amazing image, Tim. I am sure I saw this same rusty fence and never looked closely enough to see the dead spider curled up under the curled up grave fence. Talk about incongruity and meaning!
