I've talked at length about the importance of translucence in my own galleries, and this is one of the most exquisite examples I've seen of it. You have captured light passing through this palm frond to reveal the beauty of nature's design, and you have organized it so that every inch of the frame works. You have placed the main branch in the upper right hand corner, creating a strong diagonal that carries the eye through the picture, and then you expand the image in an explosion of translucent leaves and rhythmic secondary branches that fill the frame from edge to edge. You never show the actual shape of the palm frond itself, and by abstracting it in this manner, you bring the imagination of the viewer into play. An outstanding nature shot, Tim.
