I am amazed at how different this image is from mine athttp://www.pbase.com/pnd1/image/114570445 In mine, the emphasis is on the reader. In yours it on the setting. The man holding on to the post in your image is really the focal point. The reader becomes context. The man at left seems relaxed yet wary at the same time, anchoring himself to that post and by inference, to the tree as well. The colors in my image created a sense of warmth. The black and white approach here transforms that warmth into a matter of fact world full of contrasts.
