I saw this same lady back in December of 07 by the ferry terminal in Can Tho.

As with so many other pictures in this gallery, you document the work ethic of these people. Your images are instructive as well as creative.

You could have called this something like "All in a day's work". The facial expression suggests that the load is difficult to bear but she goes on about her duties anyway. I know they are all extremely hard working from dawn til dusk, and will never stop until the work is done for the day. Great slice of life shot, Tim!

The load seems heavy and the face expressionless. This image is a metaphor for the Vietnamese economy as a whole. She does not seem to shy away from the physical challenge here. Yet she seems not to acknowledge it, either. Her work will go on, long after you have put your camera down.
