Outlined in white is the Full frame w/ a detail crop outlined in red. That red crop is the majority of the image here and is shown at 100% (when viewed at original size in Pbase)
There are two up-sampled details at 400% derived from the tiny section outlined in yellow.
The portion outlined in green was created using PS 'preserve details 2.0' while the portion outlined in blue was created using Gigapixel. Printed the latter appears sharper although admittedly its mostly smoke and mirrors.
From a practical standpoint this is what we are looking at here. My 24" monitors have a pixel density of 100 px/inch. I'm viewing this at 19 inches wide and if I could display the entire frame it would be roughly 80" wide.
Processing this image with Gigapixel at 4x (4 times H & W , or 16 times the pixels) it would be 28,800 px wide, which conveniently, when preparing for an 80" print, would be 360 PPI (a nice tidy number for Epson printers).
For reference 'WESTERDAM' would print 1/10" (0.10" or 2.5 mm) high.
