Aircraft Images

Many of these photos of planes at altitude were taken with a telescope. Because of this they are not completely sharp and are somewhat hazy or blurry. The refueling aircraft have been measured indirectly to be about 12 to 13 miles away from the photographer in most cases. Airshow images are contained in separate galleries.

Great shots. I've tried some aircraft watching via telescope, it's really difficult, so your photography is really good. I especially like the E-4B "Out of the Mist". Cheers, Bill

I keep seeing the word "amazing" used repeatedly. I think if you're going to keep coming up with photographs like this, we either need a thesaurus or we need to invent a completely new word! I'm going to say that your images, of the aircraft (esPECially the B2 getting refueled; it's absolutely unique!!), the clouds, the skies, are ineffable. I have been forwarded your site by so many people of such varied backgrounds that it shows me you reach out across the demographic spectrum in a way few photographers do. Cheers, congratulations, and I look forward to seeing more of your "work", you amateur you! LOL!

Great photos. The American Airlines 727 only has two engines: must be a MD-80 or 85.

Hi. I am fasinated by your, like, completely proffessional stuff. It is sooo cool. You have true awsomeness to be able to catch all these photos in perfect places at the right time. I am trying to get a photography class next year and i will think of your photos every time i take a snapshot. ( and maybe every time i take a pic on vacation or something)
